1. What Melo is

Melo is a marketplace that connects buyers with independent Indian artisans and sellers. We manage the platform, process payments, and step in to resolve disputes where needed. Sellers are responsible for preparing and shipping their products.

2. Using the platform as a buyer

• You may browse, wishlist, and purchase products directly through Melo.
• Payments are processed securely through the Melo platform.
• If you have an issue with an order — wrong item, non-delivery, or quality concerns — contact us at contact@themeloshop.com and we will investigate and help resolve it.
• Melo will intervene in disputes between buyers and sellers where necessary.

3. Using the platform as a seller

• By applying to sell on Melo, you confirm that you are a genuine, active seller of the products you describe.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of all product information including descriptions, prices, and images.
• You are responsible for packaging and shipping orders to buyers in a timely manner.
• You agree not to misrepresent your products or mislead buyers in any way.
• Melo reserves the right to remove any seller or listing that violates these terms or our community standards.

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Melo for any unlawful purpose.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce any part of the platform without written permission.
• Attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the platform.
• Sell counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited goods.

5. Payments and refunds

• All payments are processed through Melo at checkout.
• Refund eligibility depends on the individual seller's stated return policy. Melo will facilitate fair resolution in any dispute.

6. Intellectual property

The Melo name, logo, and all platform content are owned by Melo. Sellers retain ownership of their product images and descriptions. By listing on Melo, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display your content on the platform.

7. Limitation of liability

Melo provides the platform on an “as is” basis and works to ensure a safe and reliable marketplace. However, we are not liable for losses arising from product defects, delivery failures caused by sellers or couriers, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Melo after changes means you accept the updated terms.
